In this tutorial, I will show you how to use CorelDraw in order to create Sony Ericsson logo.
The color and details which I am about to present here may not as same as the original one.
You can have your own experiment with color and details as you desire.
- Sony Ericsson is a registered trademark of Sony Ericsson Inc.
- CorelDraw is a registered trademark of Corel Corporation.
Click the Ellipse Tool (F7), and draw a circle with 380px in diameter.
Hold the Ctrl key when drawing with mouse, it will keep the circle stretched and shrinked proportionally.
Remove any outline from the circle by setting Outline Width option to none.
Click the Interactive Fill Tool (G), and set the Fill Type to Radial.
Click the Edit Fill (F11), and adjust the color (see picture).
For instance, I’ve used the following color scheme (opposite the arrow’s direction):
1. R:0 G:95 B:54
2. R:17 G:181 B:100
3. R:255 G:255 B:255
Click the Ellipse Tool (F7), then draw a circle with ~290px in diameter.
Position it to be centered and the top of the first circle.
Hold the Shift key and click both circles.
With both circles selected, press C then E to make them centered.
Remove any outline from the circle by setting Outline Width option to none.
Click the Interactive Fill Tool (G), and set the Fill Type to Radial.
Click the Edit Fill (F11), and adjust the color gradation (see picture).
As an example, I’ve used the color scheme from point 2.
Click the Ellipse Tool (F7) and draw a circle with 400px in diameter.
Create other two smaller circles (see picture).
Selectboth circles; right click then choose Convert To Curves.
Click the Shape Tool, edit two small circles to become curve (see picture).
This process requires your skill using Shape Tool (F10).
Position 2 curves to the first circle (see picture).
Selectthree shapes, and then choose Trim on the property bar options.
You will get a circle with holes, their shape woold look like the previous 2 curves, accordingly.
Remove any outline from the circle by setting Outline Width option to none.
Click the Interactive Fill Tool (G), and set the Fill Type to Radial.
Click the Edit Fill (F11), and adjust the color gradation (see picture).
For the purpose of the demo, I’ve used the following color scheme (opposite the arrow’s direction):
1. R:0 G:95 B:54
2. R:204 G:204 B:204
3. R:36 G:36 B:36
Position it to be centered and the top of the circle which we had made at point 4.
Here our Sony Ericsson logo. Happy designing!
