This metallic Apple logo is not my idea. You may recognize this logo as your desktop wallpaper. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use CorelDraw in order to create it.
- Apple is a registered trademark of Apple Inc.
- CorelDraw is a registered trademark of Corel Corporation.
Click the Rectangle Tool (F6), then draw a rectangle that is 400px in sides.
Hold the Ctrl key when drawing with mouse, it will keep the rectangle proportional.
Remove any outline from the rectangle by setting Outline Width option to none.
Click the Interactive Fill Tool (G), and set the Fill Type (F11) to Uniform Fill.
Set RGB color with the following value: R:75 G:85 B:115
Click the Ellipse Tool (F7), then draw a circle with ~320px in diameter.
Hold the Ctrl key when drawing with mouse, it will keep the circle proportional.
Click the circle, then right click and choose Convert To Curves.
Remove any outline from the circle by setting Outline Width option to none. Click the Shape Tool (F10). Click one of nodes, then right click. As can easily be seen, there are option menu to add/delete the node and furthermore it provides some techniques to help us shaping the curve.

We will form an apple from the curve.
This process requires your skill using Shape Tool (F10).
Click the Interactive Fill Tool (G), and set the Fill Type to Radial.
Click the Edit Fill (F11), and adjust the color gradation (see picture).
As an example, I’ve used the following color scheme (opposite the arrow’s direction):
1. R:31 G:26 B:23
2. R:222 G:222 B:222
3. R:255 G:255 B:255
Copy your apple, then change its dimension smaller than first one.
Position it to be centered and at the top of the bigger apple.
Hold the Shift key and click both circles.
With both apples selected, press C then E to make them centered.
Remove any outline from the rectangle by setting
Outline Widthoption to none.
Click the Interactive Fill Tool (G), and set the Fill Type to Linear.
Click the Edit Fill (F11), and adjust the color gradation (see picture).
For instance, I’ve used the following color scheme (opposite the arrow’s direction):
1. R:255 G:255 B:255
2. R:255 G:255 B:255
3. R:118 G:125 B:158
Click the Interactive Blend Tool, then set the Number of Steps to 15.
Click the smaller apple, drag to the bigger apple, and release your mouse.
Abracadabra! Cool blend effect, isn’t it?
Here our metallic Apple logo. Happy designing!
